Eligibility Requirements

For All Categories

• Nomination must be released in the 2023 calendar year.
• Nominee must be from the DC metropolitan region.
• Publicly accessible on (1) one of the approved streaming platforms: Apple Music, Spotify, Amazon Music, Tidal, Deezer, SoundCloud, BandCamp, YouTube
• The same nomination can be submitted in up to (2) two different genre categories. Only one can move forward to the finalist round based on public vote.
• The same nomination cannot be submitted twice in the same category.
• The entrant chooses the genre. If the artist nominated would like to be in a different genre, the Wammies team must be contacted via email at hello@wammiesdc.org
• Any category with fewer than (4) four nominees will not be awarded.

For All Albums

• Album nominations must have a minimum of (5) songs.

For Youth Category

• Nominees must be enrolled in school or home-schooled.

‍

For Music Video Category

• Nominations must meet all music category eligibility requirements.

For General Interest Categories

• Nominees must have public proof of activity during the 2023 calendar year.
